irish famine house in dingle, ireland

   mary manning has been making art in various forms all of her life. she grew up backstage, at her parent’s summer stock theatre in farmington, ct. then spent her summers painting theatre sets or teaching art to children.

          her art education in new york city includes a bfa in fine arts from marymount manhattan college, graphic design from the school of visual arts, painting at the art students league. her studies continued in jewelry making and textile weaving at the cleveland institute of art (ohio), doll and puppet making in the netherlands and printmaking at the center for contemporary printmaking in norwalk, ct

              mary had a career as an  art director for wnet/13 public television in new york. mary is an accomplished painter, printmaker, collage artist and bookmaker.  her work is in private and corporate collections in the u.s., italy, sweden and england. she lives and works in fairfield county, ct
